MSP Global Policies

The Global Policies feature will allow MSPs to create policies that can be used on multiple MSP organizations.

Creating a Global Policy

Follow these steps to create a new Global Policy from within your DNSFilter Dashboard:

  1. Navigate to the MSP Dashboard.9edd379-MSP-Dashboard.png__399_298__2021-05-19_16-37-21.png
  2. Navigate to Global Policies > Filtering.

Convert to Global Policy

Follow these steps to convert an existing policy to a Global Policy so that it may be used on MSP organizations from within your DNSFilter Dashboard:

  1. Navigate to your MSP organization.4b91dbd-MSP_Organization.png__399_298__2021-05-19_16-39-10.png
  2. Navigate to Policies > Filtering.
  3. Click on the name of the existing policy to open it, and turn on Enable this policy as Global Policy setting.ea8f85d-Enable-Global-Policy.png__846_441__2021-05-19_16-39-43.png

Apply Global Policy

After following the steps above to create a new Global Policy or enable an existing policy as a Global Policy, you will notice the new policy is available for assignment and displayed in the policy list under each MSP organization.

Follow these steps to apply your new Global Policy to any one of your Organizations.

  1. In the top left, select the MSP Organization you wish to apply the Global Policy.
  2. For Site:
    Navigate to Deployments > Sites
    Under "Policy/Schedule" category, select your newly enabled Global Policy

  3. For Roaming Client Specific:
    Navigate to Deployments > Roaming Clients
    Under "Policy/Schedule" category, select your newly enabled Global Policy
