DNSFilter does not currently provide a dedicated Roaming Client for Linux. However, you can still protect Linux environments by deploying the DNSFilter Relay, which covers roaming devices when configured correctly.
Requirements:
- Devices must be connected to a LAN configured with a Network Site
- Some Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu) run a local DNS resolver on port 53. This service must be disabled before deployment
Deployment Options:
- Docker container—Install the Relay as a Docker container on each Linux device
- Relay binary—Run the Relay using the provided binary
Tip: If the Relay fails to start, check for a local resolver conflict on port 53.
