✍️ Deleting the agent from the DNSFilter dashboard does not uninstall the Roaming Client. 

Enable Roaming Client uninstall notifications

Be alerted when users uninstall the Roaming Client, gaining visibility into unexpected uninstalls. 

Follow these steps to enable uninstall notifications.

1. From the DNSFilter dashboard, navigate to Deployments and select Roaming Clients
2. Tab to Settings
3. Toggle on Enable Uninstall Notifications

Uninstall Windows Roaming Client

Remove the Roaming Client via the Add/Remove programs control panel unless the silent installation with the ARPSYSTEMCOMPONENT=1 option is specified, hiding the agent in the installed programs list.

A command-line uninstallation can also be called using an administrative command prompt or GPO:

• wmic product where "name='DNSFilter Agent'" call uninstall

• wmic product where "name='DNS Agent'" call uninstall

Remote uninstall using RMM/MDM tool

Just like installing the Roaming Client, admins can uninstall the Roaming Client remotely with an RMM/MDM tool using the above commands. However, DNSFilter does not endorse or validate third-party software.
