Set different policies for different times of the day or different days of the week
DNSFilter has Filtering Schedules that you can set through an easy-to-use calendar. You can set different policies to take place anytime you like and any day you like. A common reason to use different policies for different times of the day is to set work/non-work hour filters.

Great question, Paul Lawler! Scheduled policies in DNSFilter are applied based on the timezone configured for the policy itself, not the timezone of the Roaming Client or the device it’s installed on. This means if a user travels to a different timezone, the policy won’t automatically adjust to local time—it will still follow the original schedule as set in the DNSFilter dashboard.
For example, if a policy is set to restrict content from 8 AM to 3 PM Eastern Time, that same schedule will apply even if the device is now in Pacific Time, restricting content from 5AM to 12PM for that device.
If your organization relies on time-based filtering, it’s a good idea to be aware of this behavior when managing devices that may travel across time zones.

What happens if there is a policy based on time of day and day of the week and a roaming client changes time zones?
