This post describes a user-reported error while trying to deploy the DNS Relay using VMware Vsphere. Users see an error message that reads Unsupported hardware family 'vmx-19'.

This message indicates the network is running on an outdated version of Vsphere (v 6.5) which reached End of Life (EOL) on October 12, 2022. 

Update to Vsphere version 8 to resolve the issue.
