DNS Query Logs
Hello,
Is there any way to pull more than 6 days of logs in the DNS Query Log interface? I see where depending on the license you may get up to 9 days.
We are have the pro plan so we get 6 and 60. I have read most of the articles but figured I would ask to see if this is on the horizon? I know we can use Data explorer and get up to 60 days but the filtering is so much easier in the log interface? Are there any other options that I could use with the API to pull more data? I didn't see it but figured I would ask as even 9 days is still a bit light. I understand you have costs associated with keep more data and exposing it to the users so I am hoping we can figure out something.
Thank you for all the great articles on this site they are very good I have trouble finding things at times via search but that is on me and my parameters.
Love the docs, and DNSFilter.

Hi Jennifer Kendall ! First off, thanks for the kind words about our knowledge base, and DNSFilter 💖 We appreciate you, and hear you about search: it's a jungle out there, but you're doing great 😊
While we don't have plans to expand the range of data available from the dashboard (the reasons you give are great examples as to why), it sounds like you should look into the Data Export add-on tool. That way you can export data at regularly timed intervals and not have to worry about the dashboard limitations.
Let me know if you think of other questions and I'm happy to help!

Hi Jennifer Kendall -
Regarding search, I'm curious if you have tried the search from the Resource Center in the app? I'm curious to learn if there's a measurable improvement.
- Select the Question Mark bubble (lower-right)
- Select the Search icon or Search Help text
Likewise, try searching from Google. Just make sure you include “DNSFilter” in your search query.
Thanks for being a DNSFilter customer!
