DoH - is registered IP required?
With DNSFilter's newly introduced DoH implementation for gateways, is a registered IP required? For those with dynamic WAN IPs, trying to figure out if it's still necessary to use a DDNS service to register the IP with DNSFilter or if the DoH implementation with site key will automatically register the IP (or it's not required).
Thanks!

Hey Eric Nix !
Even with the new DoH implementation for gateways, a registered IP is still required. If your WAN IP is dynamic, continuing to use a DDNS service is the best approach—it keeps your site’s registered IP updated automatically so filtering stays consistent.
As long as your DDNS setup updates the IP addresses associated with your site, you’re good to go. 👍

My primary WAN has a static IP, but WAN failover (a Starlink) has what they call a “fixed IP” – meaning it can change when they want to change it. So far it hasn't changed all year since I've had WAN2 up.
I thought with the site ID for DoH that it might be a way to allow dynamic IPs.
Hopefully DNSFilter will continue to develop the DoH implementation (DoH3, DNSSEC support, etc.). Great to see it though!
