This is an example Android Roaming Client configuration using the MDM Hexnode.

What you need from DNSFilter

✍️ We recommend enabling auto-registration to deploy.

1. Setup a network Site to associate with the agents. Make sure to assign the appropriate Filtering Policy and Block Page to the Site
2. Either enable auto-registration (recommended) or copy the Site Secret Key (SSK) from the Roaming Client Install tab

Hexnode Specifications

1. Update Android restrictions in Hexnode
   1. Uncheck Widgets on lock screen
   2. Check Hide Status Bar 
2. Add the DNSFilter Android app following Hexnode's instructions to install a Required App
   1. Search DNSFilter from the Google Play Store search bar to surface the app
   2. Add the app Certificate to the Hexnode Policy
3. Open the Hexnode app on the device(s) to install and setup
4. Select Start Filtering to complete the install

The Android Roaming Client will now filtering DNS traffic according to the Filtering Policy associated with the app.
