Install Android Roaming Client using Intune
Deploy the Android Roaming Client with Intune using this guide.
With Microsoft's Intune's Company Portal, you can utilize the ability to install our Roaming Client and connect them to Android mobile devices.
We recommend consulting Microsoft's support content for any updated processes concerning Intune.
- Enroll the devices in Intune
- Install the DNSFilter Android app
- Search DNSFilter and Approve the app
- Create an Auto Configuration Policy for Managed Devices
- Give the policy a name and a short description with the following fields selected:
- Platform type: Android Enterprise
- Profile type: All Profile Types
- Targeted app: DNSFilter - Under configuration settings format, select Use Configuration Designer
- Check the Site Key box
- Give the policy a name and a short description with the following fields selected:
- Copy and paste your DNSFilter Site Secret Key into the Configuration Variable field
- Choose Enabled for Connected Apps
- Assign groups and users
- Review and Create the policy
Upon installation of the DNSFilter app, users will no longer need to manually enter their Site Key as it has now been configured within the Intune policy.
When the app is launched, users will only need to tap on Start Filter. Once this is done the first time, filtering is on by default, and you would need to input a pin to stop the service.
