DNSFilter Agent Offline Results in No DNS Resolution
I have a client Windows PC with the DNSFilter agent installed. Occasionally the DNSFilter Agent will show as offline. When the DNSFilter agent shows as offline, all DNS resolution is broken. I have a deployment to around 30 client PCs and occasionally the DNSfilter agent will show as offline but this is the only PC that DNS resolution breaks when the agent is offline. The unique thing about this client PC is it has a static IP address which is a requirement for the network environment. Is there some issue with running the DNSFilter agent on client PCs that use static IP Addresses? Do I need other configuration in the DNSFilter ageint when the client PC is using static IP configuration?

Hi there, Jon Maxey —thanks for posting!
This sounds like a known issue with DNSFilter Agent v1.15.3, especially on devices using static IPs. We recommend testing the latest v2.0.8 beta on 1–3 endpoints. It includes fixes for issues like this, along with other improvements. You can also check the release notes for more detail.
For now, it’s best to hold off on a full rollout until v2.0.8 has moved to production. If you’d like to dig deeper, feel free to open a support request and share diagnostics from the affected PC—we’re happy to help!

Do you happen to have an ETA when 2.0.8 is moving to Production?
