Uninstall keeping dns server 127.0.0.2
Hello
We are planning an uninstall of the agent from a batch of our laptops - but we are seeing that the DNS server on the physical adaptor stays at 127.0.0.2 - thus user is not able to access the internet unless we go in and change it to auto etc
Is this something by design or is there a proper clean way to uninstall dns filter?
We will either have to do it manually or script this, but would expect it to be part of the uninstall script?

Thanks for raising this, Saqib—and you’re right, the DNS value sticking at 127.0.0.2 after uninstall is not expected behavior in the Roaming Client.
Older 1.X agents could occasionally lose their DNS backup during uninstall, which left Windows pointing to 127.0.0.2 (the loopback address used by the agent while it’s installed). This has been fixed in v2.0.10+, but machines running older versions may still show this behavior during bulk offboarding.
Give the custom script found in the uninstall article a try: it looks for 127.0.0.2 stuck on the adaptor and removes it. You'll see it linked under the standard PowerShell uninstall script. If this doesn't work let us know and we can open a ticket with Support to further troubleshoot the issue.

Thanks for the response Minetta Gould
The custom script link in the above URL is broken. Do you have it at hand so I can test please?
Regards.

Saqib Sorry about that; looks like GitHub had an incident blocking access to repositories. They've updated their status page to full operations, so you should be able to access the script without issue now!
