macOS RC Roadmap 2026
1: Back in January I saw mentions of DNSFilter 2.3.9 beta. But it's been quiet for nearly a month. Then I just saw mention of a 2.3.12 beta for Mac. Will get both 2.3.9 and 2.3.12, or will the Mac RC go directly from 2.3.8 (current) to 2.3.12? See https://dnsfilter.canny.io/changelog
#2: Mac version 2.3.8 dropped in December, but < ⅓ of my Mac fleet is on 2.3.8. About ⅔ are still on version 2.2.0 despite us having auto-updates enabled. See https://help.dnsfilter.com/hc/en-us/articles/22743158078355-Released-versions-for-DNSFilter-Roaming-Clients

Hey Daniel Stranathan ! I think I got all your questions below—let me know if I missed anything.
1️⃣ Version progression (2.3.9 vs 2.3.12)
All fixes and enhancements roll forward into subsequent versions. It’s common for beta versions not to go to full Production if additional improvements are underway. So in this case, macs will move directly from 2.3.8 to 2.3.12 once 2.3.12 is promoted—you won’t see a stop at 2.3.9 in between. Nothing is lost; all prior fixes are included in the newer build. We’re planning to move 2.3.12 to Production on Wednesday (Feb 25). Assuming no new issues surface, the rollout will then progress toward 100% auto-updates.
2️⃣ Auto-update rollout timing
Even with auto-updates enabled, releases are deployed in staged waves. If a version isn’t yet at 100% rollout (or is paused), portions of your fleet may remain on an earlier version until the rollout completes. If you need all devices on a specific version immediately, the most reliable approach is still to push the installer via your MDM—that gives you full control over timing rather than waiting on the staged auto-update cadence.
