MSP users with Admin permissions or higher can use this guide to navigate the MSP Organizations menu to create and manage client Organizations.
From this menu, access the MSP account and any client Organization to manage Users, Sites, Filtering Policies, and related settings.
Access the MSP Organizations menu
The menu is always available in the top-most navigation bar of the app, below the company logo.
Use this menu to:
- Toggle between the MSP dashboard and client accounts
- Add new client Organizations
- Search existing Organizations
The MSP dashboard
The MSP dashboard is denoted by a few distinct features:
- A globe icon next to the Organization name
- A separate MSP Dashboard section of the MSP menu
- The dashboard includes different features:
- Global Policies instead of Policies
- MSP instead of Organizations
- A link to the Partner Portal

This is where to manage the MSP Organization's profile (from the MSP tab), MSP Users, and Whitelabel the account.
Add client organizations
Add new client Organizations for from the MSP Organizations menu.
- Select the MSP globe icon, name, or drop down caret
- Scroll to the bottom of the menu
- Select Add Organization
- Enter the account information:
- Name
- Address
- External ID (this is helpful in Block Page notifications: this ID will populate in the email content if alerts are sent from @netalerts.io)
- Subscription plan
- Select Save to create the Organization
- The dashboard will refresh with a success popup. Click OK to exit the popup
The new Organization is now available in the MSP Organization menu. Navigate to the Organization to setup the client's account and manage it's settings.
Manage client organizations
Navigate to a client's Organization from the MSP Organizations menu.
- Select the MSP globe icon, name, or drop down caret
- Under MSP Organizations, select the Organization name. MSPs with a lot of Organizations can Search organizations from the search bar
The dashboard will refresh and show the selected Organization's dashboard.
As the owner of the account, all of the standard dashboard features are available, including making user accounts for on-site IT staff at that location.

Delete client organizations
Follow these steps to delete a client Organization. This action can only be completed by MSP account owners and super admin users that sign in to the DNSFilter dashboard directly (not through SSO).
Step one: Remove DNSFilter deployments from end-user devices
Failure to remove deployments from devices can interrupt internet connectivity for the device.
- Following the steps above, navigate to the Organization to delete
- Navigate to Sites
- Remove the IP/Hostname(s) from all Site deployments
- Delete all Site deployments
- Navigate to Roaming Clients

Uninstall all Roaming Clients. Here are the Windows and macOS instruction
- Reconfigure devices using a DNS Relay or NAT IPs to another DNS server
Once DNS service is reconfigured across the Organization it can be deleted.
Step two: Delete the Organization
- Navigate to Organizations and select Profile
- Scroll to Delete Organization
- Select Delete Organization
- Confirm in the popup screen
The Organization will be removed from the MSP's Organizations list, all data will be deleted, and DNSFilter will stop serving DNS requests immediately.
