The DNSFilter MSP dashboard provides access to features exclusive to MSPs, such as managing MSP Organizations (sub-orgs), whitelabel settings, and the ability to view activity for all clients on one screen.
The MSP dashboard also allows you to enter into client accounts to perform filtering and organizational changes, so think of it as a "meta-dashboard".
On top of managing all of the MSP's accounts, the dashboard also has Release notifications and links to:
- Search the DNSFilter Knowledge Base for how-to guides and troubleshooting content
- Quick-access onboarding resources to help get started
- Chat with our Support Team
- Check our System Status
- Use the Domain Report tool
- Submit feature requests
- Access the Partner Portal for courses, enablement resources, and a forum to share ideas with other MSP users
MSP Organization menu
Use the MSP Organization menu to create new sub-orgs and toggle between existing sub-orgs.
Overview
The DNSFilter Overview page includes a summary every sub-org's DNS activity, filtering status, threat detections, and user settings, along with quick access to reports and network configurations.
Scroll to Organizations on the Overview page to quickly jump to a specific sub-org's Insights Reporting.
Global Policies
Create and manage Filtering Policies and Block pages that can be applied to any sub-org from Global Policies. This is also where to manage Universal Lists, an Allow and Block List that span across every sub-org and cannot be overruled by any other policy.
Reporting
View global data from every sub-org's DNS traffic in tables and graphs from the Reporting page. Highlights include the Insights tab, which allows you to drill down into data, and Scheduled Reports, which sends an export of data to your and/or your client's inbox at a regular cadence.
Utilize the Find Organization search bar to select a single sub-org. This way you can view that data on a more granular level.
MSP
Manage your DNSFilter account information, including:
- A profile for the account
- MSP staff Users, providing edit and read-only permissions as needed
- Whitelabel the account
- How DNSFilter charges you for your client networks from Billing
- Self-service MSPs can jump to your PSA Management dashboard
The Settings tab manages a couple different elements of the MSP account:
- Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for the MSP Organization. Sub-org 2FA is managed from the sub-org's Settings tab
- Limit the display of personal data for select sub-orgs
- Export a .CSV file of the Roaming Clients across every sub-org
- Enable Roaming Client Uninstall notifications
Tools
The MSP Organization Tools page hosts the DNSFilter SSL Certificate and Debug Page
Navigate to a sub-org's Tools page to utilize other services like the Policy Audit Log and DNS Query Log (also available under any sub-org's Reporting tab).
