MSP admins use this article to set up Branding to apply a consistent brand across every customer-facing surface.
Branding enables an MSP to apply their own logo, name, and look-and-feel across the DNSFilter surfaces their customers see: the dashboard, login, and Block Page.
Branding is configured directly in the MSP dashboard. No DNS changes, infrastructure provisioning, or support requests are required.
Set up Branding
- From the MSP dashboard, navigate to MSP and select Branding
-
Configure any of the following elements:
Branding element Details Custom Dashboard URL
Generate a branded URL in the format
yourcompanyname.app.dnsfilter.app.The name must be unique across DNSFilter and goes live immediately after saving.
Dashboard Name Enter a name to display in the browser tab and in the login page footer as "Service provided by {Dashboard Name}." Default Logo Select Choose an image to upload a logo.
The logo displays across the dashboard, login page, and Block Pages.
Maximum width: 500px. A 5:1 width-to-height ratio works best. Use a transparent background for the cleanest result across light and dark surfaces.
Dark Mode Logo Optional. Select Choose an image to upload a logo for dark mode.
A separate dark mode logo is useful when the Default Logo has low contrast on dark backgrounds. This logo replaces the Default Logo when the user's browser is in dark mode.
If no Dark Mode Logo is uploaded, the Default Logo is used instead.
Custom Favicon Select Choose an image to upload an icon that displays in the browser tab alongside the page title.
Maximum width: 32px.
Customer Contact Email Enter an email address.
If an MSP client attempts to log in to a cancelled account, they are directed to contact this email address.
Email sending option Select how transactional emails are sent:
- Send emails from @dnsfilter.com (includes DNSFilter branding)
- Send emails from @netalerts.io (does not include DNSFilter branding)
- Use a custom email domain (Contact DNSFilter Support to set up)
- Select Save
The selected Branding settings are now active.
