A Block Page isn't displayed for blocked ads or trackers because DNSFilter works to block them as quickly as possible.
Instead, blocked ads or trackers return a NODATA response while the rest of the page loads properly.
Want to make adjustments?
There are two ways to adjust the end user's experience.
Adjust Extra Settings. Setting the Advertising and/or Trackers categories to Moderate will result in fewer NODATA responses because ads/trackers from trusted domains (e.g. Google) are allowed.
Adjust this setting in the DNSFilter Dashboard:
- Navigate to Policies and select Filtering
- Select the Policy to adjust
- Tab to Advanced
- Tab to Extra Settings
- Adjust the category with the Moderate/Strict toggle
Adjust the Allow or Block List. Use the Query Log to investigate the blocked content. Adjust by adding domains to the Allow or Block List according to your filtering needs.
