Use this article to troubleshoot DNSFilter or network settings if the Windows Network Connectivity Status Indicator (NCSI) displays a limited network connection notification after installing the Windows Roaming Client. 

What we know

In rare situations, Windows will display a limited network connectivity indicator (a yellow triangle) in the tray menu after installing the Windows agent.

How to work around the issue

Modify Windows Registry. Since the Fall 2017 Creator’s Update of Windows 10, this can be easily remedied by running the below line in an Administrative Command Prompt:

reg add "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\POLICIES\MICROSOFT\Windows\NetworkConnectivityStatusIndicator" /v UseGlobalDNS /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f

Add NCSI domains to Policy Allow list. This is especially true if the policy is heavily restricted.  Allow list the domains msftncsi.com and msftconnecttest.com in the policy.
