Super Admin user role details
Add flexibility to your DNSFilter management by using our Super Admin user assignment.
A Super Admin is functionally the same as an account Owner, minus the ability to cancel the DNSFilter account. This means they can:
- Add/Delete Organizations and MSP Sub-Organizations
- Manage billing info
- Add/Delete/Update policies and deployments
- Assign user roles, including more Super Admins
- Setup integrations
- Have full access to the organization's DNSFilter account
Unlike account Owner roles, your team can have multiple Super Admins per organization, and a user can be a Super Admin for multiple organizations!
✍️ Someone in an Admin role can't change their own permissions to Super Admin. This is by design to maintain accountability.
A little more detail about Super Admins for MSPs
Super Admins only exist at the parent org level, so cannot be assigned to individual sub-orgs. This means they also can't be restricted to specific organizations: if a user has Super Admin status they can see the whole account.
