What Happens When a Site or Deployment is Deleted?
When a site or deployment is deleted in the DNSFilter dashboard:
✔️ It should be removed from the Overview page's list of active sites almost immediately
✔️ However, historical data related to the site will still be visible in reporting until it ages out of the selected reporting timeframe
📊 How Long Will Data Remain Visible?
Overview Page & Reporting Tools: Data from a deleted site remains visible until it falls outside the reporting window.
Example: If the Overview page is set to last 7 days, DNS traffic from the deleted site will still appear until those 7 days pass.
MSP & Organization-Level Views: Even if a site is deleted, it may still appear in historical data within the organization-level dashboard until all related data expires.
🛠️ What to Do If a Site Still Appears Unexpectedly?
Ensure your reporting date range excludes past traffic from the deleted site. If the site remains visible in active lists, try refreshing the dashboard or logging out/in.
