Rewst is an automation platform for MSPs. With the Rewst integration and the DNSFilter API, MSPs can automate client onboarding, client offboarding, and centralized reporting workflows. For Rewst-specific steps, see the Rewst workflows documentation.
Client onboarding
Rewst can add a new client Organization to DNSFilter from a manual trigger, or from a PSA such as ConnectWise PSA (ConnectWise Manage) when a new SKU is added to an account. An onboarding workflow can:
- Pull in IP addresses based on the sites in the PSA
- Update ConnectWise Automate EDFs or other RMM fields during install, such as the site installer token, to enable continual deployment of Roaming Clients
Plan or subscription type cannot be set when a client Organization is created through the API (POST /v1/organizations). After the Organization is created, assign the plan manually in the DNSFilter dashboard. To follow updates, vote for the related feature request.
Client offboarding
With some scripting, a Rewst offboarding workflow can:
- Uninstall Roaming Clients with an RMM script
- Export data to CSV
- Delete the client Organization from DNSFilter
For the dashboard steps and requirements, see Delete client organizations in MSP Organization management.
Centralized reporting
A Rewst workflow can pull these data points from DNSFilter and import them into the dashboard visualization tool already used with the PSA:
- Client list, billing totals, total Users, and total Roaming Clients
- Total active networks/Sites
- List of Roaming Clients and statistics
