This article guides multi-tenant accounts through whitelabel setup, creating a branded experience for your clients. Once all the whitelabel settings are customized, our filtering service becomes completely transparent to your clients.
Review the MSP Whitelabel Overview article for a full explanation of each option.
The whitelabel configuration is broken up into three sections:
- Whitelabel Settings
- Dashboard Customization
- Email Configuration
It isn't necessary to configure all options—e.g. You can add custom email templates but not add a customer logo—but all configurations must be set for a fully transparent client experience.
Whitelabel Settings
Scroll to the bottom of the screen and select Save after any of these steps to save your progress.
- From the DNSFilter MSP dashboard, navigate to MSP and select Whitelabel
- Toggle on Enable Whitelabel to enable the feature
- Enter a Dashboard Name. This is usually your company name
- Enter the CNAME for Custom Domain Mapping
🚨 Important: the CNAME must point to cname.netalerts.io or our Support team cannot complete the configuration.
Dashboard Configuration
Scroll to the bottom of the screen and select Save after any of these steps to save your progress.
- Upload a Custom Logo
- The image should be 500x200 and ideally have a transparent background
- The upload tool restricts cropping to a 5:2 ratio
- Upload a Custom Favicon
- This is the thumbnail displayed in the address bar and bookmarks menu for anyone who saves your login portal in their browser
- The final image will be a 32x32 square image
-
Enter a Customer Contact Email. Client requests submitted from the dashboard are sent to this address
- (Optional) Toggle on Customer Administrators can create Sites. This option is off by default, and enabling it means client admins added to sub-orgs can create Network Sites
Email Configuration
There are three options for email settings. Select one for your client experience.
- Send emails from @netalerts.io (default)
- Emails are not associated with DNSFilter and will not include DNSFilter branding
- Choosing this setting also applies sub-org IDs to block page notification email alerts, which helps organization client communications
- Send emails from @dnsfilter.com
- Select this choice to include DNSFilter branding in email communications
- Send emails with custom email templates
