A feature exclusive to MSP accounts is the ability to have a custom-branded portal (domain and logo) for your clients to access. This allows you to whitelabel the management of DNSFilter, so that when your clients make policy changes or view query reports, they view with your branding.
Review the MSP Whitelabel Overview article for a full explanation of each option.
Configuration is divided into multiple sections. It isn't necessary to configure all options.
Get started
- Make sure you're in your MSP account
- Go to MSP > Whitelabel
- Select the Enable Whitelabel switch if not already activated
Custom Dashboard Name
- Enter the name desired, such as your organization
- Save
Custom Domain Mapping
Follow the steps found in the MSP Custom Domain Configuration article for details on how to configure.
- Add a CNAME with your domain registrar for the custom (whitelabel) domain
- Point your CNAME to cname.netalerts.io
- Entering your custom domain into the Custom Domain Mapping (CNAME) section on the Whitelabel configuration page
- Save
Custom Logo and Custom Favicon
- Upload your company logo under Custom Logo
- The image should be 500x200 and ideally have a transparent background
- The upload tool will restrict cropping to a 5:2 ratio
- Upload a favicon
- This is the thumbnail that will be displayed in the address bar and in the bookmarks menu of anyone who has saved your login portal in their browser
- The final image will be a 32x32 square image
- Save
Customer Contact Email
- Enter Customer Contact Email
This is the email address where requests submitted by your customers
through the Dashboard will be sent - Save
Customer Administrators can create Sites
Enabling will allow non-MSP-level Admins to create Sites
- Select the switch to enable or disable (default)
- Save
Email Configuration
- Select from the Email Configuration options
- Send emails from @netalerts.io
- Send emails from @dnsfilter.com
- Setup custom email templates
- Contact DNSFilter Support to configure
- Until configured, emails will be sent from @netalerts.io
- Once we've enabled the custom email templates, follow the steps found in the MSP Custom Email Configuration article to complete the configuration and to fully utilize the new capabilities
