The Universal Lists is a feature that will allow your organizations to configure an Allow List or Block list that will span across multiple policies. Universal Lists will help save users a significant amount of time as they no longer have to edit individual policies if they want to block or allow a certain domain.
Users now have the ability to either add individual domains or upload them using a CSV file. This feature is available at the MSP level and for Single Organizations as well. When logging into your MSP account, this feature can be found under Global Policies > Universal Lists. For Single organizations, this can be found under Policies > Universal Lists.
Please Note: Sub-organizations are not allowed to manage Universal Lists independently. As an MSP, you manage this list for all your created sub-organizations and policies, and these universal lists will be applied globally.
In the view above, users are now allowed to configure one universal Allow list or one universal Block list by clicking on Create List.
From here you can then choose to either upload a .CSV file of desired domains or you can click on New and manually enter in those domains (comma separated) and then click Add to List. You will then be prompted with the following image which provides you with a short summary of the domains that you've just added:
Domain Name: Defines the domains that you've added to the list
Notes: Reflects any personal notes that you've written when adding the domains to the list
Date: The date the domain was added
User: Displays the name of the user that added the domains to the list
Actions: These allow you to edit and make changes to the list before fully creating it
After the list has been created, you are presented with a receipt of the list created. The example below indicates that 24 out of 1000 domains have been added, and the user has 976 domains left, along with a timestamp of when this was done. From there, you can edit the list or download it by clicking on the Export button.
