Use this article to manage personal profile information, appearance preferences, login methods, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and API keys from the DNSFilter dashboard.
Access Account Settings by selecting Account from the bottom of the left navigation panel.
Profile tab
Profile
Update the account's first and last name from the Profile section. Personal information is not shared with third parties.
✍️ Create a new user to update the email address associated with the account.
Contact
The contact section displays the email address used for in-app communications and an optional phone number field.
Appearance
Control the dashboard theme from the Appearance section. Three modes are available:
- Light. Standard light background
- Dark. Dark background across supported dashboard pages
- System (default). Matches the device's operating system display setting
Update theme settings in two ways:
- Select and Save from Account Settings
- Toggle theme mode from the icon in the left navigation panel
✍️ Some legacy dashboard pages may not yet reflect dark mode. Full dark mode support is actively being developed.
Security tab
Login methods
The Login Methods section displays all authentication methods available to the account. Supported methods include Email/Password and Google Social Sign-In.
Multi-factor authentication
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) adds an additional verification step at login using an authentication app. Accounts created before July 2025 can configure MFA individually from this tab.
Select Enable Multi-Factor Authentication to set up MFA on the account.
API keys
API keys are managed from the Security tab. Accounts support a maximum of five active keys at one time.
